Strawberry Season
When that time of year comes around and strawberry season finally arrives after a long cold winter of zero fresh fruits, I want strawberries in everything I can possibly get them in!
Just up the street from me is a strawberry farm that lays quietly with black tarp over the sleeping strawberry fields, during the winter months.
When that tarp comes off, my kitchen is in full swing for my own little strawberry festival of flavors!
What To Make When Strawberry Season Arrives
First on my list of strawberry delights, is my favorite Strawberry Tarts, but right behind those come tea time strawberry scones, or blueberry scones.
After all, it’s ‘Berry‘ season!
In-season strawberries are so sweet, as opposed to those gigantic store bought flavorless strawberries.
Savory Strawberry Dishes
Therefore, I enjoy a savory flavor, with these sweet strawberries, just as much as I do dessert!
Forgive me for boasting, but I make the best darn salad, made with baby spinach, red onion, feta cheese and this homemade strawberry vinaigrette.

I have two favorite salad recipes I would like to share with you.
One of these salads, I made on the Great American Recipe with PBS, in the finale.
It’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
And while I served it with my spicy hot fig salad dressing, it is also perfect for this delicious vinaigrette recipe.
Beet Salad In Endive Leaves – confetti chopped roasted beets, coated in dressing and served in endive leaves.
