Red Clover Hormone Health, to help balance female hormones for sleeping better and to feel better, is a health tip I want to share with you.

Tea made from fresh Red Clover is an ancient remedy that simply works.

Time For Hormone Health!

While I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, I have lived through my 50’s and 60’s with minimal hormone issues and (don’t hate me), never had hot flashes.

Living the HEALTH, for me, is far more factual than hypothesis and recycled information. I will be 70 this year, have made natural, organic health practices a way of life since I was 18.

Red Clover Sleep Aid For Women

Often sleep is one of the first things lost, when hormones are out of balance or fading away without a plan to keep them at peak performance. Sleep is vital to our health, both mental and physical.

I know this for a fact because I’ve been married to a man during my 60’s who does not sleep. I am not the type of wife to ‘mother’, and so I can only make suggestions, but each individual must decide for themselves what they will do with good information.

Red Clover

Red Clover contains isoflavones, plant-based chemicals that produce estrogen-like effects in the body.

Since 2004, I became aware of three helpful, natural remedies that have assisted me through menopause and the years that followed: Black cohosh, Wild yam and Red Clover.

I have had compounding pharmacies make topical hormone creams for me with any one, or sometimes all of these ingredients.

Natural, topical hormone creams are what I have used for the past 20-years with zero drugs, but as always, check with your doctor when dealing with your specific health concerns.

Teas and Herbs

When I was living in Brazil, I learned that many of the pharmaceutical companies from America, have research laboratories set up all throughout the interior of Brazil.

Growing and Drying Herbs

Since plants, leaves, roots and flowers can’t be patient (to make money), copying the DNA of plants can. When the valuable medicinal properties are obtained, a patient on those, is what the pharmaceutical industry uses. Thank goodness, in many cases too!

But many of the leaves, flowers and roots that have beneficial properties in them, can simply be grown in a pot or your garden and be simmered into a tea.

This is something I’ve learned to make a practice of, which aids in my health and my Garden To Table Lifestyle.

Grow Red Clover

Red Clover now grows in my yard and easily grows in a pot. Simply pick as needed, simmer and sip.

Once red clover is planted, that stuff grows back every year and spreads, so I would suggest containing it in a pot.

I do the same with my Oregano (for tummy troubles). Comfrey (containing allantoin), which is great for skin issues. Mint, Sage and so many other herbs that can also be grown in pots inside the house and used as needed.

Diet As A Way Of Life

There are diets to lose weight and then there are diets – As A Way Of Life. A healthy diet, balanced with any type of physical activity you will do regularly, is how I have lived my life.

Since the pregnancy of my first child, I first developed this way of living, continued it through all four pregnancies, and now in my ‘seventh’ level of life, I continue to live this way.

A diet, or rather ‘style’ of eating, should be just as personal and specific to you as the physical activity you choose to do.

Mediterranean Diet – NOT

I grew up eating Mediterranean food, long before it became a ‘thing’, but that just worked for me. Find what works for you and make it a lifestyle and not a diet.

If you are interested to know about the Mediterranean foods I choose to eat, I am happy to share that with you at Mediterranean Food Is ‘Not’ A Diet.

I hope this has been helpful to you and by all means, try your hand at a few indoor pots and make a few teas for your health!

My Muffin Madness

In my family, I’ve always been known as the ‘Muffin Queen’. Out of necessity, I created muffins for breakfast, lunch, on the go snacks, sometimes dinner and a sweet yet healthyish treat for dessert!
