Bourbon Chai Tea Latte Cocktail is rich with chai spices steeped in a strong black tea, drizzled with a milk of choice and good bourbon, for a warm winter’s sip.

Tea Latte Cocktail
Nothing says holiday cocktail time quite like something warm, elegant and slow sipped fireside. Yes, Bourbon is a great slow sip on a cold winter’s eve, but let’s dress it up a bit and make it more than memorable!
Growing up, in the winter time, I have the fondest memories of sipping on a hot cup of tea with milk and honey in it.
Milk, which is actually what latte means in Italian, was usually dairy milk in our tea. But since I grew up in a Mediterranean influenced home, we made our own Almond Milk, which I grew to prefer in my tea.
Chai Tea Latte
Did it ever occur to you why chai latte has become so popular the moment Autumn sets in? It’s the spices! They are all the warm spices we desire most when it’s cold outside.
Just the sound of these spices:
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
- Cloves
- Nutmeg
- Cardamom
- Even a little pepper
Makes you want to curl up in front of a fire and sip something warm, so steep yourself a few chai black tea, tea bags in boiling water and make a lovely cold weather sip.

Stir in a little sweetener and either cream or almond milk, and you’ve got a creamy tasting latte to sip on.

Chai Tea Spices
Are you a spice person? You know, someone who loves to experiment with unusual spice combinations.
If you, I would suggest you make a spice jar of chai spices (way cheaper than buying them made), and keep them on hand for lots of baking uses.
At the onset of Autumn, I always make a batch of Pumpkin Spice Blend, which seems to double in price in Autumn. Nearly every spice, for this blend, as already in my pantry.
And while we’re on ‘make your own spice blend’, might just as well go ahead and make a jar of Za’atar, a fabulous spice blend for Middle Eastern cooking.
Bourbon Chai Tea Latte Cocktail
This Bourbon Chai Tea Latte Cocktail is filled with the taste of warm spices, which is complimented by the bourbon, and warmed in a malty black tea.
If you find yourself sipping on this luxurious cocktail in the winter months, fireside, you are definitely going to want an exotic cookie to nibble with it!
And yes, I’ve got the perfect exotic nibble for you, Pistachio Ouzo Cookies for an added accompaniment to an already exotice sweet treat!
Cocktail Tea
Whether you are sipping alone, or have invited a gathering of friends, this cocktail is easy to have the chai tea latte made early, kept warm in an insulated thermos and add the bourbon as you pour for your guests.
This warm bourbon cocktail is the perfect sip for a fire pit gathering, movie night at home, or a quiet sip by the fire while listening to your favorite music with a good book.
Make it fancy or make it simple but take a moment to sit with a warm sip to reflect on the goodness of life!
