Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles combine ripe summer peaches, toasted pecan praline, Greek yogurt, and a splash of bourbon into a frozen Southern-inspired dessert thatโs perfect for entertaining on hot days.

Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles
There is a particular afternoon in late summer when peaches seem to perfume the entire kitchen before youโve even sliced into one. Their fuzzy skins warm in the basket from the morning sun, promising sticky fingers and juice running down your wrist. This recipe was born from one of those afternoons.
Pecans Toast While Peaches Caramelize
A handful of buttery pecans found their way into a skillet with sugar until they crackled into praline, while peaches softened into caramel at the edges. A splash of bourbon added its unmistakable Southern warmth, not enough to overpower the fruit, but just enough to deepen its sweetness. Folded into creamy Greek yogurt and frozen into popsicles, the result is something between a peach cobbler and homemade ice cream, only easier to hold in your hand.
A Southern Adult Popsicle Recipe with A Splash of Bourbon
These Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles are made for porch swings, garden parties, and lingering sunsets when dessert should feel both refreshing and just a little indulgent.
Whether your favorite peach is the white-fleshed peach, known as Belle of Georgia or the Early Amber peach known for its orange-yellow flesh, these โstone fruitsโ are what Iโm after come mid-summer.

Why Youโll Love These Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles
Unlike many fruit popsicles that freeze into icy blocks, these stay wonderfully creamy thanks to Greek yogurt. The peaches become richer after a quick caramelization, while the candied pecans add delightful crunch and nutty sweetness throughout every bite.
Just A Splash of Bourbon
The bourbon doesnโt dominate the recipe, it simply lends a mellow oak-and-vanilla note that pairs naturally with peaches and toasted pecans. Itโs an elegant frozen treat for adults that feels nostalgic and sophisticated all at once.
Best of all, theyโre easy to prepare ahead of time, making them perfect for backyard dinners, summer barbecues, or a quiet evening on the porch.
Ingredients for Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles
Fresh Peaches โ The star of the recipe. Using ripe, juicy peaches provides natural sweetness, floral aroma, and enough juice to caramelize beautifully in the pan.
Greek Yogurt โ Creates an exceptionally creamy texture while adding gentle tanginess that balances the sweet fruit and praline. Full-fat yogurt produces the richest result, but low-fat also works well.
Pecans โ A Southern pantry staple, pecans toast into buttery perfection and become irresistible when lightly coated in caramelized sugar.
Granulated Sugar โ Just enough sugar enhances the peaches while transforming the pecans into quick homemade praline pieces that add texture throughout the popsicles.
Bourbon โ Only a modest amount is needed. Bourbon contributes notes of vanilla, oak, and caramel that naturally complement peaches without overwhelming the dessert.

Kitchen Tools Youโll Need To Make Creamy Peach Pecan Popsicles
- Popsicle mold or silicone cups with wooden sticks
- Large skillet for caramelizing peaches and pecans
- Sharp knife and cutting board to prep the peaches
- Mixing bowl, preferably with a spout so it will be easier to pour into the popsicle molds
- Measuring cups and spoons for more balance in flavors
- Parchment paper for cooling the pecan praline
- Airtight freezer container for storage
Helpful Tip: Silicone popsicle molds make removal much easier. If using rigid molds, briefly run warm water over the outside before unmolding.

How to Make Creamy Peach Pecan Bourbon Popsicles
Step 1: Make the Quick Pecan Praline
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and the chopped pecans. Stir occasionally as the sugar melts and coats the nuts. Once lightly caramelized, transfer the pecans onto parchment paper in a single layer to cool completely.

Step 2: Caramelize the Fresh Peaches
Using the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of sugar along with the sliced peaches and any reserved peach juice. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring gently until the juices reduce and the peaches begin to caramelize around the edges.

Step 3: Add the Bourbon
Pour in the bourbon and cook for about one minute, allowing the alcohol to mellow while the flavors combine. Remove from the heat and let the mixture cool completely.
Step 4: Mix the Filling
Transfer the cooled peach mixture to a bowl. Stir in the Greek yogurt until smooth, then fold in the cooled pecan praline pieces.

Step 5: Fill the Popsicle Molds
Spoon the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a small amount of headspace for expansion. Insert the sticks and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

Step 6: Serve
To release, briefly run warm water over the outside of the molds. Enjoy immediately or transfer to an airtight container for longer freezer storage.
Tips for the Best Bourbon Peach Popsicles
- Use peaches that are fragrant and slightly soft for maximum flavor.
- Allow the peach mixture to cool completely before mixing with yogurt to prevent curdling.
- Chop the praline into varied sizes for delightful texture.
- Freeze overnight for the firmest consistency.
- If serving guests, garnish with chopped toasted pecans or fresh peach slices on the side.
FAQ
Can you taste the bourbon in these popsicles?
The bourbon adds warmth and depth rather than a strong alcohol flavor. It complements the peaches much like vanilla extract enhances baked goods.
Can I make peach popsicles without bourbon?
Absolutely. Replace the bourbon with peach juice, apple juice, or simply omit it for a family-friendly version.
Can I use frozen peaches?
Yes. Thaw and drain them first, then cook as directed. Fresh peaches generally provide the brightest flavor and best texture.
Why use Greek yogurt in popsicles?
Greek yogurt creates a creamier texture than fruit-only popsicles while adding protein and balancing sweetness with gentle tang.
How long do homemade popsicles keep?
Stored in an airtight freezer container, they are best enjoyed within 2 to 3 weeks.
