FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE

What type of chocolate cake do YOU like? There are a gazillion recipes for chocolate cake. So the real determination as to what recipe you will love is to determine what you want out of the flavor of chocolate.

There are those that prefer milk chocolate anything, which is less about chocolate (sorry guys) and more sugar and creaminess. Then there are those that prefer it dark. Less everything else and chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! THAT, is what this cake is all about!

Six ingredients. Real chocolate. Doesn’t even need an icing, or a dusting of powdered sugar because the inside is almost as melt-in-your-mouth chocolate as a lava cake but without the dripping inside.

One bite. Just one bite and you are sure to LOVE it! If not, then you are the chocolate person that prefers milk chocolate stuff. So…. simply make an icing with chocolate, powdered sugar and cream and you will be in chocolate heaven too!

Ingredients

  • Butter – 2 sticks
  • Cream – 1/4 cup
  • Real Chocolate morsels – 8 ounces *Finally I found cooking chocolate morsels that are real. No I don’t represent them, nor do they know yet that I exist, but I am impressed that their chocolate is REAL! Go ahead and pick up the most expensive or well known chocolate in the baking section and what are the ingredients? A company called “Enjoy Life Foods” has 2 ingredients in their chocolate – unsweetened chocolate and cane sugar. Boom!

Step 1 – Put these ingredients in a pan on top the stove, melt completely and cool completely.

  • Eggs – 5
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Cacao – 1/4 cup

Step 2 – Whisk these ingredients well, and slowly whisk in the melted ingredients.

Step 3 – Preheat oven to 350. Butter the inside of a 9 inch spring-form pan. Dust a little cacao around the pan. Pour batter inside and bake. About 40 minutes, or until tester comes out clean and cracks begin to form around the top of the cake.

Cool and Indulge!
