BRITISH ROYAL NAVY MEDICINE

Flu season is not pretty! Neither is nausea (ugh). That nasty flu bug seems to be knocking everyone over this winter and it is down-right ugly. My British hubby in informed me that when the British Royal Navy would go out onto the rough seas, nausea was a way of life for many, or perhaps their total undoing. But this is what he said was the medicine always given for illness at sea. I tried it and if you will please excuse my bleep in the video, I will admit it doesn’t taste great but certainly calms the tummy. So… here ya go!

Ingredients

Serves 1

  • Gin – 1/2 shot, London Dry, of course
  • Angostura Aromatic Bitters – 1/2 teaspoon

Procedure

Mix in a shot glass. Hold your nose. Shoot it back!

The bitters are what settle the stomach while the gin delivers it quickly into the blood stream. And there ya go!
